Organised by a local community group, Drayton Events, this concert features the extraordinary talents of Pete Long (Musical Director of Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club) and James Pearson (Artistic Director of Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club) who will be combined in a concert of spectacular musicianship the like of which has not been seen in Somerset for many a year (certainly not in the ballroom of a small hotel in a small town in the middle of the Somerset levels!). Castle Cary resident has limited edition vinyl reissued 35 years after original release!
An album, recorded in a house in King’s Gate, Aberdeen in 1977, has been reissued by a national music magazine – over 35 years after it was first made. The album – Strange Stone, by Paul Hansford – is book-listed at £500 and typically changes hands for over £250. Now, the vinyl collector’s monthly magazine Record Collector has remastered the album and is offering a Limited Edition of 500 copies in its Rare Vinyl Reissue series. Full story: Read more
