“Love Yeovil” is a group of local businesses from the retail, leisure, culture and service sector who work in partnership with South Somerset District Council and Yeovil Town Council to action ways of promoting and improving the Town Centre. “Love Yeovil’s” key aims are to attract people to Yeovil and encourage them to buy into retail, leisure and culture offerings; and to encourage of sense of pride amongst those who live and work in Yeovil.
Love Yeovil meet regularly and helps to promote many high profile events within the Town Centre, with the 3 key events being Yeovil Half Marathon, Super Saturday and the Christmas lights switch on and lantern parade.
The promotion of Yeovil has been a contributory factor to the year on year to the increased footfall and turnover to many shops within Yeovil. Chairman of Love Yeovil, David Woan said “Local business and retailers in Yeovil are working in a unique partnership with the town and district councils. Yeovil is on the verge of a new era of prosperity, and Love Yeovil will be instrumental in delivering that success.”
“Love Yeovil” is encouraging other local businesses to become members with the benefit of business promotion, a regular newsletter and being part of a positive, proactive approach to encourage people into Yeovil.
