LONGLEAT HOUSE TRANSFORMED INTO CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND

Longleat House in Wiltshire has been transformed into a festive wonderland to celebrate Christmas (Friday 13th Dec – Saturday 4th Jan excl. Christmas Day).

Longleat House the Evil QueenThe elegant rooms of the Elizabethan stately home have become home to a host of familiar pantomime and fairy-tale characters, all eager to welcome visitors in to their magical realms.

Aladdin, complete with palm trees, lamp and flying carpet, is encamped in the Ante Library, while the Evil Queen from Snow White has taken up temporary residence in the Red Library.

Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf are playing hide and seek in a magical forest which has grown up in the Great Hall and the Ugly Sisters have taken over the Lower Dining Room.

Outside visitors to the award-winning Wiltshire attraction can enjoy the experience of skating on real ice on the huge Outdoor Ice Rink.

The unique, giant 60ft Singing Christmas Tree, which has over 300,000 individual lights and is the only one of its kind in the Europe, forms the centrepiece of Christmas celebrations in the Stable Yard.

Longleat House Pantomime CharactersThere’s the opportunity to hop on board the hugely popular Santa Express for a magical journey and unforgettable meeting with Father Christmas himself in his snowy woodland grotto. Don’t forget to say hello to his trusty reindeer.

The adorable inhabitants of Longleat’s newest attraction Penguin Island will also be waiting to amaze and amuse visitors with their underwater acrobatics.

Plus there’s Festive Stalls close by with everything from decorations to fun stocking fillers, winter woollies plus delicious Christmas food and drink.

Many of Longleat’s other attractions are also open throughout the festive season. Visitors can embark on the Winter Safari, get up close to the animals in Jungle Kingdom, take the Deadly Challenge, explore the Adventure Castle and lots more!
