Little fright, much delight for Zero Project’s under 18’s Halloween Party

Club Neo Zero Oct A6With Halloween fast approaching, the Zero Project team have released details of their upcoming fun event for Year 9 students upwards to 17 year olds, a Halloween Party at Club Neo, Yeovil.

The Halloween Party will be held on Wednesday 28 October from 7.00pm – 11.00pm, and is aimed at attracting young students from across Somerset and Dorset for an exciting and safe night out. Entry on the door is £5; however there is a new group discount initiative that has been introduced which will see groups of six or more gain admission to the event for £4 per person.

Shirley Courage, Assistant Zero Project Manager said, “There will be lots of activities for the youngster to do, including plenty of competitions and the tuck shop will be open. We are really hoping for a good attendance to this event, as per previous years. Our Halloween Party always proves to be a great night out which is enjoyed by hundreds in a safe and alcohol free environment”.

Following the success of the Young Promoters initiative, Zero have continued to engage young people from the three Yeovil academies to participate in the organising and promotion of Zero events whilst working towards a national accreditation qualification.

The Zero Project is a multi-agency initiative that was established in 2007 with an aim to reduce anti-social and binge drinking by providing a safe, alcohol free environment for Year 9 students to 17 year olds. The project is fully supported by the Police, District and County Councils, local businesses, schools and youth organisations.

The Zero Project recognises that parents may have concerns about allowing their child to attend an event at a nightclub. Members of the team are more than happy to take questions from parents who can email [email protected] or call 01935 462439.

A further Christmas Party event is planned for Monday 21 December with further details to be released closer to the date.
