Kilver Court launches a new Tea House at The Harlequin Cafe

This July Kilver Court Designer Village opened an exclusive new Tea House, at the popular Harlequin Cafe.

Discover a huge selection of fine teas and unusual blends from the UK and around the world – an offering unrivalled in Somerset.

Kilver Court

Kilver Court has sought out an exciting array of Tea Merchants, all with fascinating stories to tell and while very different, they share the same passion for quality. Be tempted by British growers Tregothnan, Postcard Teas who scour the globe for the finest leaves and Comins, who choose not to blend – but to focus on the amazing natural flavours from the pure leaf.  Why not try the finest single estate tea from Tregothnan, hailed as the ‘new Darjeeling’, or relax with a calming cup of Sencha Karigane from the fields of Uji in Kyoto?

The team at The Tea House have been taught by established Tea Merchants to brew every cup to perfection and guide customers old and new through the experience – including which sweet treats will best accompany their cuppa!

All the cakes and pastries served at the Tea House are freshly baked, many using Sharpham Park Spelt which is grown and milled less than 10 miles away. Spelt has quickly become a popular ingredient – renowned for its extraordinary health benefits, meaning customers can indulge almost guilt free! Choose from the Harlequin’s infamous carrot cake, spelt scones, coffee and walnut cake, or chocolate cake (perfect for pairing with Green Tea).

With Afternoon Tea Week starting on 11th August, it’s the perfect time to discover a new brew.
