Organised by Dorset Wildlife Trust and sponsored by The Gardens Group, this awards scheme takes place every year to celebrate gardeners who create havens for wildlife. Before this year’s winners are announced, Kate will reveal the do’s and don’ts of organic gardening, the best natural methods for pest control and advice on wildlife friendly planting.

Doors open at 6:30pm and tickets are £5 each for non-competition entrants, which includes drinks and canapés in The Walled Garden Restaurant.

Wildlife gardeners can still enter for free online at www.dorsetwildlifetrust.org.uk/wildlife-friendly-gardens-scheme, with entry closing on Friday 26 May.
