On Tuesday 31 March South Somerset District Council is once again hosting its annual Easter Eggstravaganza hunt at Ninesprings, with the support of the Friends of Yeovil Country Park.

There is no need to book, you just need to turn up between 10am – 2pm and collect a trail leaflet from the Friends of Yeovil Country Park stall which will be located opposite Ninesprings Café. The trail will cost £1 per child.

Robin Mackay, Chairman of the Friends of Yeovil Country Park said, “We are extremely grateful to Crofton Stores who have again donated over 600 Cadbury’s crème eggs for prizes. Their donation enables the Friends to give a great prize to all of those that take part in this fun trail around Yeovil Country Park, and means that the Friends can continue to fundraise for projects in the country park.”

The trail takes approximately 1 hour to complete. The cross country route is suitable for adventurous pushchairs, but please be careful working your way through the County Park.

Councillor Sylvia Seal, Portfolio Holder for Leisure & Culture said, “We are once again delighted to host this event at Yeovil Country Park. It’s always well attended and we enjoy seeing the children having lots of fun hunting for the trail answers”

“South Somerset District Council’s countryside team will continue to develop and deliver a wide range of events for all the family throughout 2015, look out for new events this year as grant support for the Park has meant we have been able to develop new ideas including photography workshops and a celebration of Armed Forces Day on June 27th”.

Once you have completed the hunt for your child’s special prize, why not rest your feet at the Ninesprings Café and enjoy a hot drink? The Café welcomes well-behaved dogs, but please ensure they are kept on a lead at all times.
