Budget set: Council Tax & Car Parking charges frozen

SSDC Car parking charges and council tax being frozen for another year are the highlights of the 2013/14 budget which has just been set and agreed upon by South Somerset District Council. Council Tax frozen again as Mendip Council agrees a balanced budget

Mendip District CouncilMendip District Council is to freeze council tax for the fourth year running and will continue to provide all of its key frontline services, despite another reduction in government funding. Blow to Yeovil Rec campaigners as inspector gives hockey scheme green light | This is Somerset

Building works on a popular green space in Yeovil could start within days. Planning Inspector Roger Pritchard has approved the relocation of a footpath at Yeovil Recreation Centre, known locally as Mudford Rec, which will allow a £800,000 artificial hockey pitch to be built. Full Story: Read More
