COLLEGE RAISES £1300 FOR HOSPITAL CT SCANNER APPEAL

Yeovil CollegeYeovil College staff past and present have donated three cheques to Yeovil District Hospital’s CT scanner appeal, totalling more than £1300. Over £680 came from sales of a popular charity cookbook.  Called ‘Let’s Cook!’, the book features nearly 50 different recipes donated by members of staff at Yeovil College.  They include delicious cakes and biscuits, yummy desserts and main courses.  All the dishes are tried and tested firm favourites of the staff involved. Large donation leaves CHAC staff wanting more information

P4538.30 C E WebbStaff at South Somerset District Council’s Community Heritage Access Centre (CHAC) have been left wanting to know more information about a recent donation, after it included photographs of a First World War survivor who lived in Yeovil. CHAC received a large donation of an archive concerning Betty Webb who was active in Yeovil Baptist Church. She was born in Andover and the family moved to Yeovil when she was a child.
