Date announced for 2014 Somerset Chamber AGM

Somerset Chamber of CommerceThis year’s Somerset Chamber of Commerce AGM will take place on Wednesday 26th November at the Holiday Inn in Taunton. The annual event provides an opportunity to celebrate the year’s successes and network with influential business people from across the county. The short AGM agenda, which lasts around 15 minutes, will include an update on Somerset Chamber activity over the past 12 months, presentation of the annual accounts, and the election of two new directors to the board. TALENTED YEOVIL COLLEGE STUDENTS AWARDED ARTS ASSOCIATION GRANTS

Yeovil College Art & DesignTwo talented Yeovil College Art & Design students have been presented with grants by the Yeovil Community Arts Association (YCAA). Each year, the YCAA raises money through its annual, international writing competition, the Yeovil Literary Prize. Writers are invited to submit poems, short stories and novels for a small fee. After paying the prizes and the judges’ fees, the revenue then contributes to supporting a range of arts and artists in the area.
