The South West Heritage Trust will be holding three events as part of the 2016 Festival of Archaeology. Co-ordinated by the Council for British Archaeology, the festival offers hundreds of events nationwide, organised by museums, heritage organisations, universities, and local societies. It has been a fantastic start to Gillingham’s Community Festival, GillFest2016, which despite the wet weather remained 100% mud-free in the large covered area at Orchard Park! Friday night saw local band ‘Loose Connections’ kick off with a set that got everyone in the right mood for the main band ‘The Unravelling Wilburys’ whose amazing song catalogue delighted the crowd.
