Christmas Draw tickets are available

The Band Supporters Club are running a Christmas Draw with a top prize of £100 Cash. Tickets cost just 20p per ticket (that’s £1 per book) and can be purchased from any band member beforehand or on the afternoon of the Concert (see below)

Nov 29th – Weldmar ‘Light up a life’ Carol Service – Orchard Park – 6:30pm

If you are quick enough to pick this up today, the band will be out tonight at Orchard Park to play for the Tree lighting and Carol service, supporting the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust. Come along and start getting into the festive spirit, and perhaps pick up a bargain, as the garden center will also be open until 8pm.

Dec 7th – Gillingham Christmas Parade – High St. – 6pm

The band will be leading the Christmas Parade through the Hist st. leaving the Town Hall at 6.30pm with the Festive Light Switch On at 7.00pm. Come along and meet Father Christmas and join in with the Carol singing, where the Band will be providing the music. Hot and cold festive refreshments will be available throughout the evening.

Dec 9th – Free Christmas concert at Semley Church – 3pm

The band will be holding another FREE afternoon concert, this time at St. Leonard’s Church in Semley (opposite the Bennet Arms). This will be a Christmas themed concert, with Refreshments available, and retiring collection. This will be a great concert in wonderfully atmospheric surroundings with fabulous acoustics. Why not come along and bring the whole family.

Dec 16th – GISB Supporters Club ‘Annual Carol Concert’ – Gillingham School – 3pm

The Supporters Club are pleased to announce their Annual Carol Concert which will be held at the Gillingham Comprehensive School at 3pm. Tickets will be £5 on the door, and entry for Children is free. This last official Concert of the year includes the Training band, who have been working hard, ready to perform some festive numbers for you all.

There will be a Raffle, and Refreshments

The Christmas Draw will take place, tickets (just 20p per ticket – £1 per book) can be purchased from any band member beforehand or on the afternoon of the Concert. Prizes are: 1st £100 – 2nd £50

The band will also take the opportunity to present trophies and awards for the outstanding members of the bands.

Both the band and the Supporters Club look forward to seeing you at the concert, for some festive cheer, and as always, some great music and entertainment.

Dec 17th to 21st – Caroling around Gillingham (evenings)

The band will be out around the town playing carols door to door, collecting funds to help the band over the coming year. The band are always really pleased with the donations and generosity and feedback of the town, and would like to take this opportunity thank you all, and look forward to seeing you again this year. Dec 24th – Carols at the Walnut Tree – Mere – 8pm (approx)

What better way is there to round off the year, other than enjoying a festive tipple in the warm company of friendly people, with a brass band playing carols in the corner. Come along, soak up some atmosphere and just relax, before what is for many, the hectic days ahead.
