Angela Knapp a Somerset Textile Artist based in Clanville near Castle Cary is hosting her first solo exhibition at Midsomer Quiliting between 6th – 23rd November 2015.
Angela Knapp, (www.carymade.co.uk) is a wonderful textile artist and she’ll be exhibiting her collection ‘Flights of Fancy’ at Midsomer Quilting. The exhibition features a collection inspired by birds and they’re really stunning.
In this, her first solo exhibition, Angela presents a body of work inspired by her love for, and fascination with birds. In late 2014 after many years of experimenting with fabric, Angela entered the Midsomer Quilting 12×12 ‘Music’ themed exhibition. Her submission – ‘Blackbird’ (Singing in the Dead of Night), sparked a new creative journey for her as a textile artist, culminating in this unique series of images. Angela will be working on new pieces whilst the exhibition is running.
