SSDCEveryone invited to have their say on the future of leisure in South Somerset

The Community Health & Leisure Team at South Somerset District Council is inviting local councils, clubs, organisations, schools and members of the public to have their say on a brand new Leisure, Play & Youth Strategy by attending consultation events in Castle Cary, Yeovil and Chard.

Community Health & Leisure Manager at South Somerset District Council, Lynda Pincombe, explains more about the strategy and the consultation events: “These evenings aim to give all of our stakeholders an opportunity to shape our new strategy and, in turn, have a say on the way we deliver leisure, sport and play.

“We are encouraging as many people as possible to attend these events so that we can identify our customers key issues and also learn about how we can support them to achieve their individual and organisational goals.”

The consultation events will take place in the Market House, Castle Cary on Monday 30 March, the South Somerset District Council Chamber, Yeovil on Thursday 9 April and Chard Guildhall on Thursday 30 April.

Anyone wanting to attend needs to email their name, organisation and the date they would like to attend to [email protected] or telephone 01935 462345. Places are limited to a maximum of two representatives per organisation.
