DISTANT HORIZONS – Paintings by Julie Jenkins

DISTANT HORIZONS – Paintings by Julie Jenkins

Childhood dreams of distant places became a reality with my passion for worldwide travel, inspiring the very essence of my creativity.
My exhibition of vibrant pastel and goauche paintings are the result of a recent journey to the Himalayas, Bhutan, the mountain ‘Kingdom of the Dragon’.

A tiny Buddhist country that time forgot, beautiful and exotic, nestling in the mountain peaks which rise up festooned with colourful prayer flags.

Paintings of ancient Buddhist temples, prayer wheels and prayer flags will be exhibited, along with paintings evocative of my travels to other fascinating locations, Nepal, India, and Morocco.

My exhibition is open from Saturday 15th September to Sunday 30th September, Thursday Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m.  2 The Old Police Station, North Street, Wincanton, BA9 9AZ.
