Celebration of the Arts – Glastonbury Fringe 16th – 27th June

Glastonbury Fringe2016 will be the 5th Glastonbury Fringe from 16th to 27th June, a celebration of the arts in Glastonbury.  As well as promoting mainstream events the Fringe are delighted to welcome events to include the spiritual, holistic and healing side of Glastonbury.

What’s it all about?  Building on the success from the past 4 years by bringing together a mix of music, dance, drama, comedy, poetry, crafts, film and/or art events happening, all based around the pubs, music and  other sociable venues within Glastonbury.  Walking down the High Street you get a brief glimpse of what an eclectic mix there is to embrace both musically and spiritually and behind the historic doors of local hostelries you will find a mashup of creative energy all year round.

The launch, as in past years, starts with the Fringe Stage at the Market Cross where there will be an eclectic mix of performers from 2pm (and every day thereafter throughout the Fringe).  The Fringe team would love locals to join and be part of this amazing event.  If you are interested in performing on the Fringe stage, be it music, dance, drama, comedy or poetry you can book a slot be emailing  [email protected]

To celebrate 5 years of Glastonbury Fringe there is a Launch Party at The United Reform Church, Glastonbury High Street with live music from Liam Howard & The Truthseekers, Ant Noel & The Peabody Drakes, The Billy Shinbone Show and Bob Gallie. Doors open at 7pm and tickets are available from Stephens Butchers, The Hawthorns and online via the Fringe facebook page and website.  We hope to see you at this stunning venue.
