Morph, the terracotta icon, is 40 this year!
To celebrate, The Bishop’s Palace in Wells has teamed up with Aardman Studios to offer a series of workshops in association with the Wells Film Festival.
An expert from the studios will guide participants through the stages required to make their very own Morph, and then get them creating their own adventures too!
Still naughty at 40, this cheeky, loveable character was first seen in 1977 on the children’s programme Take Hart, Morph always stands 12cm tall and weighs 5 ½ oz. He has always been hand-made out of one lump of clay and to check that they always took the same amount of clay, his creators would weigh the clay on some old scales with an ‘M’ drawn on the correct weight!
Tickets for the sessions are £7.50 and children must be accompanied by a paying adult and the sessions last 1 hour.
They can be purchased from the Palace Shop, or from Wells Film Centre.
