The Town Mill, Lyme Regis hosts ‘Essence of Nature’ exhibition by Dorset artists 3 March – 15 March

The creative heart of Lyme Regis welcomes successful Dorset based artists Lucy Tidbury and Esme James who will be showcasing their original paintings and prints alongside renowned bespoke furniture designer Jason Cameron. Lucy, Esme and Jason, although all working with different mediums and styles are all influenced by their passion for nature and the great outdoors.

Lucy Tidbury works with oil on canvas and is renowned for her whimsical ‘Moo selfie’ series that include iconic scenes from across the country and are always guaranteed to make you smile. Living on a farm in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck Lucy is surrounded by inspiration for her country themed paintings and is also an accomplished pet portraitist.

Esme James works with acrylic on canvas and is celebrated for her signature palette of blue depicting moonlit scenes of the Jurassic Coast and countryside including castles and follies. Working from her picturesque Art & Gift Studio at the foot of the Purbeck Hills Esme is always close to her muse of the Jurassic Coastline and Dorset countryside.

Jason Cameron works with American hardwoods and is one of the UK’s top 50 bespoke furniture makers. Jason’s inspiration stems from the strength and simplicity of Japanese design and construction, the Art Deco movement and the works of Le Corbusier, Rennie Mackintosh and Gerrit Rietveld. Jason’s workshop and showroom is located in an 18th Century barn set against the inspirational backdrop of the Purbeck Hills.
