Somerset needs new champions to help its gardeners and growers save and improve their soil, one garden or allotment at a time. A call is going out to find good composters who can foster this vital skill throughout the county. The recycling powerhouse of a garden composting bin has just become an even bigger bargain in Somerset. Prices have been cut for both sizes of Blackwall Compost Converter – the UK’s best selling home compost bin – while special multi-bin deals still offer even better value. If you know a thing or two about composting, thousands of people in Somerset need your advice, and there is a free course coming up soon to help you share your skills. The training day on Saturday 28 March is part of the Compost Champions scheme, in which a network of volunteers spread their know-how to friends, neighbours and their community.
