A temporary library will be set up in Yeovil whilst the town’s library is closed for major refurbishments.Yeovil library on King George Street will be shut from May 6 for nearly three months while self-service machines are installed. A mobile library vehicle will be parked outside the building opposite the Post Office to offer a temporary service during the closure. Local company, Godminster is helping Bruton’s car parking crisis by providing free over-flow parking at its new sales site off Station Road in Bruton, Somerset. Godminster, which is expanding its team by appointing two new members of staff to its sales department, has just opened new offices on the Brue site near its existing warehouse and production operation where the new free car-parking will be located. Somerset County Council Coker Division election
Whilst most residents in South Somerset will be heading to the polling stations on Thursday 2 May for the Somerset County Council elections, residents of the Coker Division have to wait for their election until Thursday 16 May. Sadly, a candidate passed away during the election campaign for the Coker Division which has led to the election being cancelled and a new election having to be held within 35 working days of the original date.
