Showtime – Live variety performances in aid of The Children’s Hospital Charity, Wincanton Memorial Hall, Satruday 28th March

Money raised will be paid directly to The Children’s Hospital Charity (TCHC). TCHC raises vital funds for one of only four stand alone children’s hospitals in the UK – the Sheffield Children’s Hospital and is not as recognised as the others – Great Ormond Street, Alder Hey and Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The charity is busy adding specialist equipment, funding vital research (otherwise unavailable to the NHS), creating single occupancy units for a better experience for patience and family members and making a difference to thousands of lives across the UK.. Level 3 Cold Weather Alert issued, cold weather and ice expected

Main P5The Met Office has issued a Level 3 cold weather alert across Southwest England, and South Somerset District Council is asking you to look out for others and to take extra care during the cold and icy weather. A Level 3 alert is triggered when severe weather is occurring, meaning average temperatures have dropped to 2C and widespread ice and heavy snow is present. A District Council spokesman said, “Remember to check weather forecasts and plan the day around them. Take extra care if outside to prevent any accidental slips from icy and snowy pavements.
