It was time to raise a glass or two at a recent Summer Dining flower arranging workshop held at Combe St Nicholas Village Hall, near Chard in Somerset. Go wild at Chard Countryside Day in July
If you haven’t visited before, the perfect opportunity to make a first foray over to the beautiful Local Nature Reserve reservoir site at Chard is coming up in July. Chard Reservoir is owned and managed by South Somerset District Council, it has lovely woodland walks, watery views and meadows alive with insects and flowers; Chard Countryside Day is a great time to explore the reserve and all it offers. Somerset and Devon Museums win National Lottery Support
A project to bring contemporary artists into eight museums in Somerset and Devon has been awarded more than £80,000 by Arts Council England and the Heritage Lottery Fund. Muse: Makers in Museums is led by the South West Heritage Trust in partnership with Devon Guild of Craftsmen, Somerset Art Works and the Community Museums Development Officer for Devon.
